I’m interested in becoming a member. Will you explain how the service works?

Sure. It’s simple:

  1. Subscribe to one of our monthly packages. Like 22 LR? Pick that package, and each month we’ll build a bundle of high quality ammunition in that caliber. We’ll then ship it to our armory where we’ll keep it safe and secure until you’re ready to use it.
  2. Log in to your secure account 24/7/365 to see your ammo in real time.
  3. Request a shipment, or sell some or all of your ammo back to us.

What does it cost?

Every package is $69/month.

What’s the armory?

The armory is the name we give to a number of secret locations where we store members’ ammo.

Do you sell reloaded/remanufactured ammo?

No. We only deal in new, factory fresh ammo.

I’ve never received ammo by mail. Is it legal?

Yes, in most states. Refer to Title 18, Part I, Chapter 44, Section 922 of the U.S. Code.

We do not ship to any state or locality where prohibited by law.

I live in a state that doesn’t allow shipment of ammunition. Will you ship to my FFL?

Not at the moment. We are looking into this option as a way to expand our membership in the near future.

How do you pick the products that will comprise each month’s package?

Every product we sell must satisfy 3 criteria:

  1. Have our members rated this manufacturer highly in the past?
  2. Are the manufacturer’s values similar to our own?
  3. Would we buy and shoot this ammo ourselves?

If we can’t answer each criterion in the affirmative, we won’t carry the ammo.

Why would I sell my ammo back to you?

You probably have some unused ammo in your possession. You’ve held onto it for a few months - Maybe a few years. It could be that your needs changed, or that you just haven’t gotten around to shooting it. In either case, if you could snap your fingers and change it into a different cartridge, would you? Most of us answer “Yes,” which is why we at AmmoHawk built a service that guarantees that flexibility from the very start.

What does shipping cost?

Shipping is always free.

I just placed an order from my locker. When will it ship?

Place your order before 1 PM ET any weekday and it’ll ship that same day. Place your order after 1 PM ET and it’ll ship the next business day.

Note that by law all ammunition deliveries ship Ground.

How do I contact AmmoHawk?

You can call any weekday during our regular business hours of 9 AM - 5 PM ET. You can also contact us via email at contact@ammohawk.com.

What’s your return policy?

We want every member to be thrilled with our service. If you have any issues with the ammo you purchase through us, email contact@ammohawk.com. Make sure to reference your order number.

Is this site secure?

Completely. We use SSL (“secure sockets layer”) on every page of this site. The information you share with with us, and that we share with our payment processor, is transmitted with ultra secure 256-bit encryption.

Moreover, all credit card transactions are handled by an industry standard payment gateway with full PCI compliance.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel anytime. Log into your account, navigate to the profile screen and click “Cancel.” You won’t be billed again, however you will retain access to your locker through the last day of the month for which you paid. If you still have product in your locker at that time we will ship it to you.

When am I billed?

You are billed based on the day you begin service. Credit always applies prospectively, meaning what you pay in January applies to February’s package, what you pay in February for March’s, etc...

When will my locker be updated each month?

We allocate products to packages during the third full week of the month.

How many rounds are included in each package?

Because we aim to provide a diversity of cartridges with each package, the quantity of ammo will vary from month-to-month. Packages composed of relatively higher grade product will include fewer rounds. Note however that every package includes a minimum, meaning we will never allocate fewer rounds than that minimum quantity. (Refer to the Packages screen for more information.)
